Wow! It’s always so fascinating to watch these beautiful creatures that God has so intricately designed.
This dabbling duck has joined the flock on our pond. Hopefully he will stay here for a long time. His mate showed up a few days ago, and we are interested to see if they will start a nest!
Woodpecker: “Man, I really hope there’s a bug in here–knock on wood!”
This Cormorant must have gone out of his way to visit our pond, since he is normally a coastal bird. He stayed here for several days and ate lots and lots of our mosquito fish. Doesn’t he look proud? Cormorants are so fun to watch, diving many times a minute. All our fish gave a sigh of relief when this guy finally left!
We noticed this deer along with three of her friends the other morning. They all looked so soft and gentle. We were able to watch them for about ten minutes before they decided to move on.
